Reeds Rescue takes a holistic approach to animal welfare. Serving as both a shelter for homeless pets and a resource center for pet owners in need, Reeds is a nurturing environment where the well-being of animals and their human companions are intertwined.
Reeds Rescue is here to serve the Minot community by offering animal shelter services: adoption/fostering, reunification of lost pets, accepting surrendered pets, plus spay/neuter and veterinary assistance. We are dedicated to providing shelter and care for homeless pets We rely entirely on donations from our community to cover all veterinary, training and operational expenses.
Shelter
Studies show a clear link between domestic violence, child abuse, and abuse of animals. With more than 70% of women entering shelters reporting their abusive partner also abused the pet, Reeds Rescue ensures that pets are not left behind in a violent home. Reeds Rescue helps protect pets and their people with a custom pet facility at no cost.
Safety
Spaying and neutering our pets is the single most important thing we can do to reduce the pet populations in local shelters. To help keep population down, Reeds Rescue offers a financial assistance program which provides low cost vouchers to residents of Minot, Surrey and Minot AFB . Fill out our application and a Reeds representative will call you to confirm approval.

Reeds Rescue works every day to place homeless animals in loving homes. All animals receive immediate medical attention including vavinations and spay/neuter before being placed into loving homes. Our ongoing operations are costly. To better ensure that these and other important services are maintained, we rely on you and your generosity.
Volunteer Opportunities
We can’t do this without you–our community. The saying, “It takes a village to raise a child,” could well be re-written, “It takes a community to run a stellar animal shelter.” From your hands-on volunteer hours, donation of supplies, monetary gifts, sharing our social media, opening your home to a foster animal, it’s all greatly appreciated and paramount for us to be the best we can be.
Partnership Opportunities
Our Partnership program is a monthly donation, in any amount. This program helps Reeds Rescue provide food, shelter and compassionate care to the animals we serve. It also provides the resources needed to expand our programs and services, multiplying our impact on the community.
